This 1948 Singer Featherweight has been restored in Mint Green with Gold decals. Serial # AJ010*** Also included is a foot controller and a new aftermarket case. A few original accessories, replacement owners manual and several new accessories are provided as well. Please see photos for included items. If desired, a Padded Travel Bag can be provided instead of the new aftermarket case. Please let us know at time of purchase if you want to exchange the hard case for the padded bag, otherwise the hard case will be shipped. @ BigSky Featherweights, we enjoy restoring machines to their former glory. Updating in any color or simply bringing machines back to life again in their original color. We strive to keep all parts original to the year of the machine. However, sometimes replacement parts are necessary and in very rare situations parts may be replaced with current after market parts. Thank you for visiting our site, we hope that we can be of service to you. Please review all pictures carefully as they are pictures of the actual item you will be purchasing. We do our best to describe the featherweight being sold, and the pictures will show exactly what is being offered. Each featherweight goes through a complete tear down with an extensive cleaning and electrical inspection. The machine is stripped down to bare metal, and then primed and repainted. Before reassembly, if needed, any necessary repairs are done to both mechanical and electrical aspects of the featherweight. Every featherweight gets a new LED light bulb, new felt pad in the drip tray, a new motor belt, and if needed new feet and brushes in the motor. Motors are thoroughly inspected and if needed, repaired or a replacement will be installed to ensure years of operation for you. The body is meticulously repainted, new decals applied and then sealed with multiple coats of a clear high gloss automotive finish. It is then polished and waxed prior to shipping. Upon reassembly of the components in the body, the featherweight is fine tuned for peak performance and stitch testing is performed to ensure it is producing a beautiful stitch. The foot controller is original vintage and if necessary wiring has been replaced to ensure safe operation. A storage pouch is also included for the foot controller to help protect your beautiful machine when transporting or storing. This machine comes in a new after market case, and with all the attachments and accessories shown in the pictures. The featherweight will come partially disassembled as we remove the spool pin to ensure safe shipping. This is easily replaced and we can provide a link to an instructional video if you need assistance placing it back on. This Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine is a highly sought-after collectible item. It is a classic piece from the golden age of sewing machines that have been well maintained and continue to work perfectly. This machine has been carefully restored to excellent condition, and it is ready to use for your sewing projects.
