eBay EXTREMELY RARE HANDMADE VINTAGE 1970’s PALOMINO ALL LEATHER BOLD STRIPED MACBOOK PRO 16″ BRIEFCASE BAG R$1298 My bags are the antidote for the poly-lined synthetic leather run-of-the-mill bags being produced in China. Most of my bags are full-grain leather; Artisan craft, with authentic distressed character, and many with modifications unique to our line. We only use high-grade men’s belts for shoulder straps. This leather is reminiscent of equestrian leather halter straps. I also use half centimeter thick mooseskin. Nothing wimpy here; quality and character that stands out and stands the test of a truly rugged lifestyle. Invest in a bag that you’ll love more and more over time. Not all leather bags are created the same. A great quality leather bag is supposed to look better with time as the leather acquires marks and age-related wear. Make sure to check out my whole store. At the time of this listing, I have 180 items all unique and different. Many with added Mooseskin handles; my “trademark” unique idea. Once you have tried it you will wonder how you functioned before without an inside handle. Also on many of my briefcases, I add a mooseskin handle wrap. The handle is the point of contact that the owner has with their bag and mooseskin is so pleasing to touch. My philosophy in writing descriptions is: a picture speaks 1000 words. So please look at the pictures and email me with any questions. That said, here is my description: — What I love about this old bag is its amazing craftsmanship. I imagine the man or woman who made it having just tanned the leather themselves, sitting down in their hut, somewhere in the world where they still made things by hand, working a whole day or maybe two or three and creating this masterpiece. There are no man-made materials that I could see in this entire case with the exception of a metal zipper stamped with a butterfly imprint. Just animal skins/leather; even the stitching. I am not sure what kind of leather this case is made from. A good friend of mine said he thought the white cream colored leather was from a palomino horse; could be. If I was guessing I would say the balance is made from Goat leather. If it is goat the following is a description of Goatskin. “It is one of the few leathers considered to be more durable than cowhide, yet it is also softer and more flexible, meaning that goatskin products typically don’t have to be broken in. Goatskin is also warm, breathable, and surprisingly water-resistant. Kidskin, fashioned from the hides of younger goats, is highly prized as being even more supple and delicate than lambskin. The main downside is that goat hides are simply much smaller than cow hides, requiring a leatherworker to split their pattern across multiple hides.” The sections of leather being smaller on this case would ring true with Goatskin leather. I also appreciate that the handle on this case is very solid read for even the heaviest load. When this was likely made computers where just beginning their ascent in the USA. In the 1970 Steve Jobs was 15. That would mean that when this bag was likely being made a MacBook Pro was not even a thought in his mind yet, pretty wild! Old world, meets High-Tech. This bag has the true vintage look which is so popular today. It says without saying anything that you like quality and, are not afraid to be different. I imagine a business professional who appreciates the vintage look taking this to a meeting. It is sure to get comments and compliments. It is unlined leather; this is very rare these days. It is really rare to find a bag at upscale retailers that is unlined. In my opinion; unlined is so much better and lasts so much longer. This case is in really good condition; there are only a few stray leather threads that do not effect the structural integrity of the beautiful piece. Ready for your MacBook Pro 16 Inch or iPad Pro. As you can see in the photos a regular sized iPad or smaller fits in the leather security pocket. This also would be a great place for your passport or other items you need to keep secure. There are two main sections for your books, magazines. I could see the new owner putting a sweatshirt in one of them and their MacBook Pro 15 in the other. The measurements in inches are approximately: 16.5 x 12 x 4 As show in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden MacBook Pro 2019 with the measurements of 13.75” x 9.48” x Thickness 0.61” It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop. This bag fits my iPad Pro 12.9 very nicely. Measurements of the 12.9 are in inches: 12.04 x 8.69 x .27 for your reference. No need to carry large rolling bags anymore. Now with our tech (tablets and small laptops) getting smaller, we can carry vintage style bags instead of the “run-of-the-mill” bags being produced in the 21st century. I have this listed as a Men’s bag but any woman who appreciates rugged leather goods could make this work for that perfect rugged look.
