This is an factory Delco AM FM radio for 1963 Chevrolet fullsize models including Impala, Bel Air, Nomad, Biscayne, and likely others. The model number is 985694 which is shown on a label on the inside of the radio as shown. This radio is specific to the 1963 Chevy fullsize cars only and will also bolt into 1964 models. Please confirm your specific application. This radio is quite a rare unit. Very few were made in 1963 since there were not many FM stations and it was a very expensive option. Most of these original radios were snatched up long ago and installed in keeper cars. These radios very rarely come up for sale anymore, especially the unique 1963 version. The 1963 radios use a 4 wire connector to connect to the remote tranducer unit which could be installed on the speaker or remotely depending on the application. 1964 units used a 3 wire connector and different remote transistor. I do not have the transistor for this radio and decided to sell it as a core for service since I don’t know which transistor unit the buyer will need. Most radio service techs can fabricate this remote unit in short order. Don’t miss this amazing survivor 63 AM FM radio. This radio is in nice survivor condition as shown. The face is very clean with a clean lens that is free of cracks. The chrome nose has great shine and reflection as shown with light wear. The AM/FM flip dial fully flips from AM to FM and back to AM. All pushbuttons and dials work as they should. The original inner and outer knobs are intact. The case is nice with no dents or rot and some scattered surface corrosion. The 4 wire connector is intact and undisturbed. This is simply a very nice survivor 1963 Chevy AM FM radio. As stated above, this radio will need the remote transistor unit to be functional.
