For sale is a rare old school Rockford Fosgate Power bd1000a1 (#2 of 2). I have two of these amps for sale which is why this is labeled #2. This comes from my personal collection. I bought this about 20 years ago and used it in my summer car for a few years. A very powerful amp that will make subs pound. I had it running 2- 12-inch RF HX2’s (1000 watts each) and later 2- 12-inch RF T2’s (1000 watts each) and it was very loud. I was never able to turn the amp up that much as the subs couldn’t handle all the power. It comes with new end caps, bass knob, bass knob cable, and bass knob mounting bracket. There aren’t many of these around anymore so to find one with all these things included is rare. CONDITION OF THE ITEMS: AMP:The amp is being sold AS IS for parts or repair ONLY due to a loose remote lead. I took pictures of the lead loose and with a scissors holding the lead in its original place to show the issue. This was a common issue with some of these old amps as plugging and unplugging a remote wire could cause the lead to weaken and eventually separate. Despite the issue with the lead, I used the amp this way and it was still IN WORKING condition. I used a small piece of wood to hold the remote lead in place which worked pretty well. The silver part of the amp does have some wear and a couple deeper scratches on the right side. The bd1000a1 emblem has some visible wear. The issue with the lead could be an easy fix for someone that has the time to repair it or wants to have it serviced. I never had the amp worked on, but it looks like there are 2 sets of warranty stickers on top of each other (see pictures). Not sure how this happened, but just pointing it out. END CAPS:The ends caps are new and never used until I put them on for the pictures. Years ago, after I bought new amps like this, I put the new end caps in storage and used other end caps I had lying around for the amps. I found around 6 or 8 never used end caps that I’m including with some amps I’m selling. It was wild to put the end caps on the amp for the first time as it took a little effort to turn the screws as there was still paint from never having screws in it before. There is one minor factory imperfection on the end of one of the caps (see pictures). Used end caps for these style amps are on here for $115-$150, so just the end caps alone are very valuable. The screws I found to include with the end caps do have a little surface rust on them which is common for screws this old. BASS KNOB, CABLE, and MOUNTING BRACKET: The bass knob is very condition with no visible wear on the casing. The silver part only has minor wear and a small scratch that is above the “t” in Fosgate (see pictures). The screws on the back plate have some surface rust (I ran out of room for pictures and thought the other pictures were more valuable, but could send pics if needed). The cable was inspected and is in very good condition. The mounting bracket is in very good condition and comes with screws (one screw is original and the longer screw is not original but fit the mount). Complete bass knobs go for a good amount on here so it’s valuable to have this included. Even though the lead is loose, this was in working condition when I stopped using it around 10 years ago. It’s been in storage ever since. It is being sold AS IS for parts or repair due to it being used car audio and the issue with the remote lead. Fast free shipping. Accepting offers as well.
