Product Description. Fully restored SOUND CRAFT 400B Console 2CH RACKING MICPRE-4bandEQ- OUTPUT transformer installed All parts cleaned, wired and soldered (Kester44). Never used after operation check. A large new toroidal transformer is also used for the power supply. Sound quality, noise, buzzing, switch touch, everything has been taken care of. (Never used, all functions checked only). NEVE/API/SSL/AVALON/DTM Famous SOUND CRAFT 400B Console 2CH RACKING We also use the 200B full console, but we think the 400B has a better reputation in general. I think the 400B is more highly regarded in general. Fully overhauled in Japan with larger toroidal power supply. 2U RACKING All parts of the vintage section were cleaned and completely replaced. Parts and wire materials are of high quality considering their characteristics. All switches, including those with springs, have been replaced with new ones. The operation has been checked closely. I don’t think such a restored and rebuilt unit with new parts is available for sale. Restored and stored RACKING after restoration, only 48 hours of running to check operation. No galling. (Vintage English console restored rebuilt RACK). Thoroughly replaced old parts, new and fully working after restoration. The sound quality of the famous SOUND CRAFT 400B console has been restored. As you can see on the screen, wiring materials and solders are selected from high quality ones. Equipped with 4 transformers, carefully restored. The sound is British and thick. The EQ can change Q width freely, so it is easy to image. similar to DRAWMER1961/1960, but not bulky and dense sound quality. MICPRE (&LINE TRANCE)-4bandEQ– (OUTPUT transformer) two independent balanced signal flows. Carefully rebuilt with solder and wire materials. Time of use after, only operation check running. All functions have been checked. Rebuilt 2 channels of the original SOUND CRAFT 400B console with additional functions. Cleaned down to the smallest detail and replaced all deteriorated parts. ＋Two Micpre inputs capable of +48V Two LINE level balanced inputs on XLR jacks Two 4Band parametric equalizers 2 GAIN controls with new transformers added to the OUTPUT section Phase inversion (phase function) and a PAD switch on the input stage are also built into each line. The added parts were made with new parts, and a toroidal transformer large enough for the power supply section was used. As you can see in the photo, new parts, wiring materials, and solder were carefully selected. Capacitors and other sound-related parts have been fully replaced. The resistors and other parts have also been rebuilt with new ones as much as possible, and a new balanced circuit has been newly installed for balanced cannon input and output, designed with specifications that are easy to use in the modern music scene. You can use it without worrying about left/right balance, noise, or buzzing. The multi-stage transformer and solid power supply section can also generate sound pressure. New transformers are used for both IN and OUT. +60db can be obtained. Very good sound quality. The equalizer is quite effective, and the Q width can be adjusted and crossed, so you can make it british or surprisingly sharp (comfortably), which I think is the selling point of this unit. The use of new parts and careful construction allows you to use it without worrying about noise (S/N). The matching of the two channels is excellent, and the tension of the knob controls is well balanced. The 400B can be controlled either tricky or mildly. The first owner has checked the entire unit, and it has been kept on a carpeted rack, but we are moving the unit to a new location. The sound quality is basic british. （The bass is nice and fat.)
